Honestly, I would take your livestock back to the LFS before they die. Then stop your skimming, reduce your lights to the actinics only and wait it out. When the tank is cycled, then add one fish every two weeks or so. You are going waaaayyyyy too fast for this hobby.

I'm right in thinking this is a tank transfer to a bigger tank right? And that the comments on the water change earlier were with regard to the maintenance of the original smaller tank?

It is a common misconception that using water from an established tank will speed up the maturation process in a new tank. Not so.

if possible i would like to see some articles on that claim. because i would assume the water would carry some small amount of bacteria in it. just like using sand from a mature to seed a new one..

also some of the comment could be taken harshly, people can't know your tone, so always be overly nice. lol

thanks sostoudt. i think believe people read the negitive in the questions and then react to them in a harsh way. all i asked if it would be ok or if i should wait. i understand that people have been into this hobby a lot more than myself, but knowing more dosent always mean your better than others. so slow your role because im sure you were the same way when you werent a all around season veteran. as i stated before thanks to those whos noses arnt in the air in regardes to the question i asked

I belive this statement can be wrong. Not trying to start a fight but if you start a tank and it is only 10 gal and you take that 10 gal from a established tank then that water should be established. If you use 70% then it is like doing a very heavy water change. If you use 10% then yes you are only getting started. I have herd a lot of sucess stories of people using 50% water and 50% established water and not going through a cycle. I guess it depends on what you are putting in and how much you are using.

i agree, it will help to cycle faster. but there is no way you can get around not having to cycling a new system, there is will always be some small cycle to be had. If you add all estabilished rock/water this helps to speed things ( i have seen it happen in a very succesful tank) However its the sand that needs to cure the most. If you reuse or have new sand it will need time to \cure causing there to be a little cycle. Its like adding cured live rock to a system that has gone through it cycle; once its add there will be at the very least a mini cycle ( i know this from experence)

as for the origanl question...i would wait till all your param level out. its flux that concerns me. plus tangs get sick/ick so easy, and wouldnt want to affect the others
