I have been running 3 Korolia pumps in my tank that are pointed in different directions and are contantly. Now just bought a Jabeo 25 wavemaker. My question is can or should I still run the the korolia's or some of them or does that negate the wavemaker benefits? I have a 70 gallon tank that is 5 feet long and only 12 inches wide so worried that will still have dead spots in some areas. Should I keep some of the korolia's and point them in potential dead spots? thank you

I ran a closed loop with my pair of WP40's on either end of my 180 and I could still generate a wave. I would put that Jebao on one end and try it by itself. then add in your koralias as you need to . Stir up some funk and see how it flows. in my 180, i ended up settling with one on wave and one on the Else mode. I stil got a good bounce effect in areas.

thanks. I like your suggestion. When the Jebao arrives I will let you know how it goes. Looking forward to something different and hoping it will somewhat help a battle I am having with cyano. Just can't seem to finally knock it out for good.

On the verge of doing that myself. i have another thread going a little ways back with everybody helping. I am trying the natural way but just doesn't seem to be deminishing. Another week or two and if it does not start deminishing I will use it. In the mentime just looking forward to a little wave action

I would run the jebao separately for a couple days to see where the dead spots are in your tank, then place the koralias accordingly to get rid of these dead spots.

One WP-25 will not be enough for your tank. I have a 65 tall tank, 4' long X 12" deep. I have a WP-10, WP-25 and a tunze (don't know the model number  ) in my tank. Now, it's all going to depend on your scape, but I still have a dead spot or two. It drives me bonkers. At least once a week, the PHs get's aimed a slightly new direction. The other month, I completely changed things up, switched my tunze and WP-25 to opposite sides of the tank, the WP10 is in the middle being a little stinker.

One word of caution; the WP series will rock for the first month. Then after that you'll see a decline in power, then at 2 months, you'll notice you're not getting what you were used to in flow. Take it apart and clean it up with some paper towels, q-tips and wipe the magnet down, you'll notice a decent amount of brown slime on there. Put it back in and you'll be surprised the difference it makes!
Also, (IME) the slots on the body will build up with detritus, backside first. Just make sure you get that part when cleaning the WPs.

Enjoy your WP though! It's a beast of a pump and will blast some water. I stick to the else mode on both of mine, but play around and see what mode works best.

So I received the WP 25 Friday evening and yes it is a beast on full power mode. I have been testing several setting/modes but hope those who have it can resolve a question I have. The instructions state that the 3 speed modes are for adjusting the W1 setting, Does this mean that it is ONLY for the W1 setting? Because I changed the speed on the the ELSE mode and appears to adjust that mode as well. Just not sure if it is an instruction language issue.
One other thing, I have just the wavemaker in now and seems to be doing well covering most areas but I will watch very closely since I may have one or 2 spots that need further flow. However, I am really loving the wavemaker in general beause the variability and the waves do seem to kick up more detritus and cover much more dead spots than the contant flow (despite the higher tuenover rate of the contant flow). In th end, I guess I never realized or read that you may not need so high of a turnover if you have a wavemaker. The contant permenant pumps created much more eddies for junk to settle.
