    i read this in the 3 reef arcticles

    "If you already have an existing wet/dry filter, you can remove the 'bio-tower' and place the protein skimmer in the old filter's sump."

    can someone please help explain that a little better????............i havea a biowheel 400 and etra one not running on the tank simply becasue there is no more room to many things are in the way. And my skimmer is a coralife 125.

    This is what I understand. A wet/dry is divided into two sections. The 1st part is where the drain leads into a filter pad then goes through the bio balls. This section is called the bio tower. The other section is called the sump. Im assuming what they are suggesting, is to remove all the bio balls. Or...theres more to what you quoted.
