Hello i have a quick question about clownfish and i hope someone can clear this up the information i have been reading about clownfish on website and i been doing my reasearch on them for a year now but I have people told me that Clownfish parents don't care about their fry. But then 10 websites told me That the male clownfish protects the fry through out the stage when the fry hits sexual mature stage. I just want to clear this up. And Would a 29 gallon Oceanic Biocube be okay for Ocellaris Clownfish? (and yes i do know that all clownfish are born males)

Thanks for reading my post :) <33

Not sure about the parenting question, but yes 29 gallon tank would be fine for a pair of ocellaris clownfish.

    Welcome Ashley to 3reef.

Clown fish show no paternal tendency. The male/female do protect the spawn (eggs) until they hatch.

Clown fish are born neither male or female but sexually immature until a place in the hierarchy opens up for them to become the dominate male or the dominate female. (yes I know the arguments)

A 29 gallon biocube would work fine for a pair of clowns. I would not put Maroons or Tomato clowns but all others it would be fine.

    Good Luck
