1.) I was thinking about getting PURA PhosLoc to add to my Mag 350 Canister Filter. I was wondering if anybody has used this phosphate media? What will Phosphate media do for me and my tank? Are there any disadvantages to it?

2.) Is PURA PhosLoc a good phosphate Media or would you reccommend something else?

3.) I came across this too. PURA Complet. Does anybody know anything about this or use this?

4.) What are some good media Combination to keep my tank in check. Right now i am only running Marineland Black Diamond Carbon.

Any Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I run GFO from Bulk Reef Supply in a reactor and change it once a month. Seems to keep things in check and the PO4 down to zero. I have never used the PURA product. Check out Bulk Reef Supply - Bulk Reef Supply they have a good Q&A area about carbon and GFO.

I have been using Pura Complete for about a month. From what I've seen it worked. I got a bad batch of water from my LFS. I had silicates on my rocks.. it removed it all in a bout 4-5 days. I wouldn't have needed it though it it we'rent for bad water. Wash it real good, otherwise it'll turn you water to murky brown for about 2 hours. boo!

I would recommend to buy GFO for phosphate removal from Bulk Reef Supply and running in a reactor. Also I have used their carbon.

Guess I should of answered your questions besides telling you I use.

    1) Never used it, but I would recommend to run some type of Phosphate Media to keep everything in check. Just my opinion.

2)Never used it, but I have used GFO from http://www.bulkreefsupply.com with not negative results.

    3) Nope

    4) I run gfo 24/7 and run carbon about 50% no reason other than sometimes I forget to change it. When I get me new tank running I will run both on their own reactors.

    Hope this helps
