    You could acclimate it by starting them at 6 hrs a day and slowly raise the time that their on until you reach 10-12 hrs a day. Im not an electrician, but it sounds like the GFCI is not grounded or something similiar. Luna

    I only have the actinic lights on right now, should I turn on the daylight as well?

    I was planning on only running the actinic's today, then start with all 4 on tomorrow for about a half day. What do you think?

    Yes, turn on the daylight and start the following;
    If you really what to acclimate the tank to the lights, start with 4 hrs a day for a week. Then add 2 hrs per week until you reach your desired time frame. BTW, what kind of lighting did you have before? Luna

    Is that circuit dedicated to your lights or are other things on it too(elsewhere in the house or room) and how many amps is the breaker it's on? How many amps do the lights pull.

    Tangster or Sparky or any of the other electricians out there where r you...

    Nothing else in the house is on the breaker but the tank.

    The breaker is 15amp, I am thinking I am goin to have to bump the breaker up to a 20amp; I just wanted confirmation first.
