    Live rock is way more expensive pretty much everywhere.A couple small pieces will help seed your tank with good bacteria then you just need alot of patience as it takes time for the bacteria to multiply and inhabit the rest of your rock and sand.

    Also look at Marco Rocks. They have some cool dry rock and it's not expensive.
