Quick answer please!

    its not an emurgency so it doesnt belong on the ASAP forums, but i still need to know quick.

    i cant seem to pull the RO membrane out of my RO machine. and im pulling hard. i need to replace it and it just wont budge.

    any ideas as to why its doing this or how i can get it out?

    I used some channel lock pliers to pull the membrane out while my wife held the plastic housing.

    They are in there tight, you just have to pull hard! ;)

    my dad and i tried that, the pliers kept pulling off!

    if you're replacing the membrane, don't worry about damaging it... just don't damage the housing...

    it may be a pressure lock keeping it in there... do you have all the inlets and outlets opened up?

    Vice Grips....Pull and turn at the same time. Or you can try to soak it in haot water for a few mins.

    ok i have another, didnt want to post another thread though.

    right now my TDS coming from one sediment and one carbon is 330. that seems high to me but i havent done this before. should i use another carbon or another sediment?

    all are 5 micron which is what came with the filter. i will buy better ones when i am out the the ones that came with this unit.

    It's all relative. What's the TDS of the tap water? RO membrane is the workhorse of the system, and the incoming TDS is what ultimately determines the life of the membrane.
