I set up my Octopus CR-140 last night. As of right now I just have water flowing through. I am waiting on an adapter for my paintball CO2 tanks. Everything seems to be running smoothly other than my bubble counter being filled with saltwater. I initially filled it with RO/DI about 2/3 the way up as instructed, but it always seems to slowly fill with saltwater. Any ideas on why this is happening? I have the check valve just sort of hanging there since there is no CO2 yet. Should I tie this line off so no air can be pulled through?

    Thanks,
    Ivan

Yes, shut off that line. Having the bubble counter open is allowing air to escape and more water to get in.

I thought that too..but I have the check valve on there so nothing can get out. If anything air would be pulled in. And after watching it, that isn't even the case. Water just seems to slowly seep in. I just realized this though...there is a bubble counter on my regulator. I'll just use that and let the bubble counter on the reactor do whatever.
