Quick ID on theys , was told they are soft corals

    Hi,
    got theys cheep as the store was closing was told they are soft corals can anyone give me there true names and any care info also where would they be best placed in my tank? the first was in the sand but my tank is quite deep so any ideas would be great!

    AHH That could be a problem as the store girl said it was a soft coral and my tank is only 3 months old! All my water param are fine & i have healty button palps & small green anemone which came free on my lve rock rubble. What shall i do??????????????????????????:eek:

    They both look like leather corals. They both look like toadstools of diff types, I think, but I can't see them in the bags. Placement is relative to your lighting and flow so its hard to say for sure.

    I have good lighting 4 tubes ( dont no what they are thou but think they come with t5 standard bulbs and the four lights also create blue lighting for night and if you turn off one off the swiches it creates a funny yellow glow from the tank , a very odd light! but with them all on i think its quite strong. and good flow from protein skimmer, tunze nano stream 6045, 2 pump outlets from canister filters and a extra powerheadwith pipe at the bottom off my tank.

    first one looks like an carpet anemone and the second one looks like a leather toadstool

    As has been said, the first looks like a carpet anemone and the second looks like a sarcophytum :) HTH
