I can't get a 30g tank. I have 1 fish with bad ich and have been treating with kick ich because I have a clam and torch coral. Can't use copper treatments.
Here is my question. If I set up the 30g as a QT and put that fish in there can I use the tank water in QT?
Follow up is do I have to also treat other fish even thought they don't show ich symptoms?
Would love to get a stronger copper treatment on this
Or at this point does it not matter because ich is everywhere in my display tank

What I should probably do is move clam and torch into QT and nuke DT.

Move all fish to the QT and treat there. Leave display fallow for 6 weeks.

You might try CBSurfriders recommendation of

Chloroquine phosphate: Dr G's Marine Aquaculture - Anti-Parasitic Caviar

If you do not treat all fish and leave the display fallow, your just chasing your tail. I would never nuke a display. You must also QT and prophylactically treat all new additions in the future.

Which fish in your tank is symptomatic?

Looks into this as well, another product I have not used but I trust the individual that told me it worked very well for them.

    Hikari Ich-X

    Formalin is the active ingredient.

And will use Dr G for sure. I'm struggling because I'm trying to play catch up. Don't have a QT so use this as reason to get one

I hope things work out for the fish ballgame. I would suggest you follow Corailline's advice, she really knows her stuff :)

I am. But I also trust you. A couple of you have tremendous experience. It might be a pain when people like me post threads asking questions you've heard a hundred times. But I haven't heard them. And isn't really a good search function on this site

    Thanks all!!

Trust me no one forces me to answer post in Ich threads, I do not want you to go through what I went through when there were no forums to help you out. We had to walk through snow to get to the top of the mountain and wait for the smoke signals to get assist when I started.::)
