So the skimmer finally arrived, I installed it and it works great. The only thing is that it was pretty difficult to adjust the valve because it is inside the skimmer itself. Otherwise it is really good.

I will keep it turned off until the cycle is over. I tested my tank again, and everything is pretty much the same. Although I finally had some nitrate readings. Ammonia still at 1ppm and everything else is 0.

AHH the wait is killing me!!!!

here is the picture of the skimmer for you guys to see :D

So my ammonia is finally 0!!
    My nitrites are also 0!!
My nitrates are somewhere around 5-10ppm

I was thinking on ordering a CUC for this Monday. Would this be ok? or do you guys think I should just wait until Monday and test again until the nitrates are 0 and then order?

I was thinking that by Monday they would be down anyway and I can just go ahead and order them but I'm not sure?

Also, should I turn on the skimmer yet?

You nitrates are not going to go down to zero unless you change some water. Now that your cycle is over, change some water and add an appropriate CUC. Nothing big (turbos) and not something like nassarius until you add some fish. Stick to snails. Don't be adding urchins or any of those things that come in CUC "packages". They should never be included in such, IMO.

So it is ok to order it now?

I was thinking on getting something like

    30 Nerits.
    30 Florida Ceriths
    10 hermit crabs
    10 Nassarius Vivex
and perhaps a serpent star fish

The numbers can go down if you guys think this might be too much. I thought this was a good assortment IMO though. Please let me know
