Hey guys.. I was just wondering. I have a Metal Halide fixture with 2 MHs..
It also has 2 T5HO.. However these are blue in color. Not that I don't like the blue color, but it's a bit TOO blue. Metal Halides already are blueish as well..

When I try to take a picture it just looks darker and blue.

SO.. I was wondering. Could I get better coloring in my coral and over all better lightning if I choose a different type of T5 bulbs? Maybe purple and white? both white? both purple?
    Any ideas?

This is what it looks like today. The toadstool kinda split and it became heavy. I will re-glue to its rock once it's done splitting :) but can you guys see what i mean by the "too blue" ?

Looks good to me, do you know how blue the T5HO's and MH bulbs are?

Awesome opportunity and i agree to start off right, maybe it would be cool to get some live rock to get your tank cycled. How long has that sand been in the tank.Im really excited for you and im sure you will get a great grade once your prof starts to see the ecosystem take hold and thrive;) Good luck and i will be following your threads;)
