Acclimate them by floating for about 10 mins and then opening the bag and take out 1/4 cup of water out of the bag and add 1/4 cup back into the bag of your water for every 15 mins do this, and keep doing it for about 45 mins. And once you have done that, just place them onto the rocks or on the sand, wherever you feel like they look nice and are getting enough light and flow. And the average time depends on a few factors like..How stable the water will be over a long period of time, how good of lighting you have, and what type of coral they are.

That depends on the frags and what kind of coral it is.

i use the dripline method. then after 2 hours add them to the tank. works better for me than floating a bag.

I float mine like described above. After floating & adding water I put everything on the bottom for a day or two just to get used to my lighting. Then after that is when I start moving them up in the tank and or glueing them into place. I order mine online though and I use the extra day or two on the bottom to let them get used to light again after being in the dark. It may not be needed if you purchase locally.

When it comes to shipped corals I float for 15 minutes then put them on a rack in my tank. After roughly a week I putty them down to the rock where I want them to be.

After acclimating temp and water, I ALWAYS dip in Coral Rx, then H2O2 before going into the DT, prevents unwanted critters and algae to get in

Any coral under $50 i float for 10-20 mins then place them where i think they need to go post pictures in the coral thread and find out where they really need to go move them then glue down. Anything over $50 i drip for 30min to a 1 hr then do the above.
