My tank was reaching 81 degrees, I added a fan and it's 78.8ish. What should I keep my reef around. I heard 76-82, is that true? Thanks for your help!

78-82 is a good target, as you get into the 83+ you may see some issues with your coral. I have had my tank at 85 before and luckily had no ill effects on my LPS, SPS, & softies. They are fairly resilient but def wouldn't want to consistenly have the temp that high.

Sharp temp swings are where really bad things can happen. A gradual build over the day from 78 to 83 wouldn't be that bad. I run an AC unit in my tank room so the highest it gets is 82.
