I need actinic lighting for my 90 gal tank. As of now the lighting I have is 2x 250 metal halide. I wondering what would be better: power compact or t5?? and another question would be best 400 rating for coral line to grow quicker?? thanks for the help in advance.

t5 is always better if you have the option. Coraline will grow in time. I don't think you need to do anything in particular to help it. It actually becomes quite a nuisance once it gets growing as it can clog powerheads, returns, and other such things.
