    I've noticed that after the snail is done eating the algea on the rock some spots are turning this nice purple color. Just curious to what this is. Thanks

    Prob coralline algae. Just a guess though without a pick.

    Coraline Algae, this is a good thing... it is also a sign of calcium being removed from solution and utilized, be sure you test and add as needed....
