I have a 45 gallon cube aquarium that is 24x24x16. I currently have only a maroon clown. I also have a sump that holds approx 10 gallons and i will be adding a 20 gallon fuge in the next week. If my total water volume is 75 gallons could i have the following fish?

    -Maroon Gold Stripe Clown
    -5 Green chromis
    -Leopard Wrasse
    -Yellow watchmen

I know 75 gallons could support these fish but with only 45 gallon in the DT is 5 chromis to much as far as aggression goes? Should i bump it down to 3? I know your suppose to keep odd numbers and i really want the largest amount i can keep peacfully.

    Thanks

I would not keep 9 fish in a 45 gallon display....The maroons are gonna be the most aggreessive of all those fish.

I would skip the wrasse and cut the chomis down to 3

i would cut the chomis down to 3 and get rid of the clown fish cause its super aggressive and might decide to kill the rest of your fish

well the first stocking list is 8 fish not 9, id rather not skip the wrasse so if 8 is to many ill cut it down to 3 chromis having a total of 6 fish.

I've kept all those fish together before with out a problem and the maroon clown i have now is not much bigger then an inch and a half.

clownfish suck, they are really mean (just my opinion and keep in mind 80 percent of reefers disagree with me)

Ahhh i see now, i thought you where gonna add another maroon! I still say skip the wrasse they like a lot of swimming room and i think a 2 foot tank is a lil small IMO

Well i still think im gonna add the wrasse, i already have aton of pods and the wrasse would be the last fish added so way after i get the fuge in...also i dont have much LR in my DT, about 40 pounds, because i like an open look but i plan to adding about 25 more pounds of LR into the 20 gallon fuge so the wrasse would have alot of room to move...still it would be my last fish ill see how the other 4 go for a couple of months.

    Thanks for the advice

The issue with the wrasse isn't the aggression. It's the lack of swimming room.
