Quick Sump building question

    If my bubble trap baffles have a really slow leak in a corner is that an issue? I saw a video on it and the guy seemed to make a point to test it out but logically it seems pretty insignificant to me.

    Yes it can be, and No nothing really to worry about. The baffles them self just regulate the water flow through your sump. If you have a minor leak in one baffle it won't cause any problem to the way the sump works. Then again, over time that one minor leak will become a larger leak. This is because you will end up with more pressure and water flow through that minor leak. Eventually it could cause your baffle to become completely dislodged.

    leaks within the sump among the internal chambers are generally nothing to worry about.

    Those chambers do not have to be water tight.

    My baffles have minor leaks, but when it's loaded with water there's pressure from the water on the other side of the baffle too--so I'm not concerned.
