My biggest thing with Airport Security is the fact that the Security itself is "Politically Correct" the people we should be profiling aren't being profiled so that we don't tick anyone off but I would rather tick someone off then wind up with another catastrophe. Also... why are people getting so upset when they are asked to perform extra measures to ensure we are traveling by the book. If an officer asks me to step aside so that he can check me, I am not going to get upset because he is doing his job. That is just me though, I don't fly a whole lot anyways so it isn't wasting my time. When I do fly, I give myself plenty of time for things like this that may come up.

I agree with DanKistner comments... IMO, safety is way more important than keeping a happy crowd. However, one footnote is that the safety measures/protocols are being properly followed and are safe (for example scanning machines).
