Hey guys I am about to make a purchase and I came down between 2 brands.

A: Current USA Nova Extreme Pro T5HO Aquarium Light Fixtures

This is will cost me $287.95 (total)
What I like about this fixture is the fact that is has 2 separate cords for a timers.

But my lfs gave me a link to this one as well

    B: CoralVue CoralVue T5 Fixtures - Lighting/Fluorescent

This would run me 260 (total)
What I like about this is the moon lights. What I dont like that it has a single cord but 3 switches, so I could not use 2 timers. Which I am ok with I guess, but I cannot find anything about this fixture, not even a good picture. Not to mention it does not have fans, which is ok too I guess since those lights do not really get that hot. I found the manufactures site but its not any help ether. (Coral Vue Home Page)

    Both of them are 36" 6bulbs t5.

What would you guys do ?

I have the Sundial by Current USA and I love it. It does have moon lights, one cord, three switches and two timers. It's in your price range too. The moon lights have covers on them to keep them white or make them blue.

Current USA Sundial T5HO Aquarium Light Fixtures

Edit: Ah, I see you want six bulbs. I'd tip my hat to Current since I've never had an issue with their products.

I had the Nova and loved it. Great light for the price. Also, you really should have one that has fans regardless. Even though t5's run cooler than MH, they will still get hot. As far as moonlights, IMHO, they are a little over rated. Cool if you have them, but don't really miss them if you don't.

So go with nova? Tnx for the link, the only problem is, is that its 4 bulbs not 6 like I am looking for.

one thing to keep in mind is the width of a 6 bulb fixture. i have a 48 in nova extreme pro 54*6 on my 55 gallon. i love it but didnt think about the width. its a huge pain to do anything even something as simple as feeding.

Thank you guys. Just ordered the nova extreme. Yes thanks for the heads up on the with. I have a 65g so its wider then 55g, the fixture is 13" so its perfect because thats when my glass starts to open. I hope this will make my corals grow.
