Just wondering I have Read alot about Salifert kits being very nice but kinda pricey. Just wonder a few things. I'm about to startup my tank and wondering if the Salifert kits come in a package deal or do I have to buy each one individually? If their is a package deal, where can I order it from because I can't find one anywhere on the net.

I was also wondering if thier is a good alturnitive that would be less costly but have really good readings? Being I'm going to be testing alot sance it's a new setup the Salifert Would add up fast. Thanks

There are no packaged Salifert kits

If you want packaged kits, go with API. (Which are pretty decent, especially considering the price difference).

does API not have a Mg testing kit?

Oh yah just wondering if i should buy all my kits know or just the PH, nitrite, nitrate, ammonia, and salt? then buy the rest later, such as after the cycle is done and im ready to start adding fish and corals?
just to be sure im not forgetting anything the rest would include: Kh/carbonate(buffer), Cal, Mg, and Phosphate.

    thanks a lot

Nope, they don't. You'll need a different brand for that one.

salifert kits are the best way to go IMO. yea they are pricey but the are accurate and last at least a year if doing testing once weekly.
