When my lights have been all day my temp reaches just under 80, about 79.5 degrees. Do you guys have any ideas for me on how i could keep my water from getting that high? I guess if i had to i would buy a chiller, but i really was hoping theres another way to lower it.

desk fan in your hood or on your sump.. or both.. bigger the better.. just make sure you're not fighting your heater at night by using a timer on the fans

Well my lights have fans built in, but i think i can make something up so that it might help. Do i want the fans to blow on the actual bulbs? Or do i want them to blow on top of my light fixture?

I live in wisconsin. It gets really cold out here too! My room is in the basement where we have a pellet burner. So thats how my room gets a little too warm.

We refused to turn on the heat till today and there has been a week of cold weather. As for your heat issue I would try some fans and go from there.

I don't have a sump. I guess i could get some small containers and put them in the back of my skimmer. I have a CPR dual bak-pak.
