Hey everyone I read here constantly, and often I am reading advice to someone suffering from some ailment. So this question is for all the people who are happy with their tanks.

    Whats your lighting schedule:

Heres mine but im not happy with my algae problems.

    Antics On: 10am
    VHO On 1230pm
    VHO Off 5pm
    Antics Off: 7pm

I think i should be leaving them on longer.

VHO Super Actinics 16 hr day
    3-400w MH's 9 hr day

How do your corals look?? If you are adjusting your time do it slowly not all at once. Maybe 1 hr then two weeks do another.

    My lighting is:

    Atnitics on: 12pm
    daylights on: 1pm
    Daylights off: 8pm
    Atnitics off: 9pm

I read somewhere that atnitics should start one hr before daylights and run hr after.

To jump on and ask a question :p

Has anybody heard or read a rumor that actinics look 'brighter' to fish than they do to us humans ? According to this theory, the lighting schedule actinic/10K should be reversed. Anybody ?

Hmmm...I am not sure if the eye of a fish acts differently than that of a human...but they might make sense. Because if you were to go to a coral reef 20m-30m under water everything will look blue because that is the only light that can penetrate the water that deep. I think that because of the shallow depth of a tank the blue might look brighter because it already can travel deeper than the rest of the spectrum...and in a tank there is no need to because it is so shallow...i think that makes sense...maybe...lol;D

Go on an early morning dive for me! Let me know what color it appears to humans at sunset. Because I don't believe it is that blue color all day :/
