    my mag 9 & 5 create a lowish hum... but then add the vibrations from them to the tank and the spray of my skimmer... THEN the water coming from the dt.... and THEN the fans on my light .... and FINALLY my vortech, you get a tank that makes a fair amount of noise. If you dont mind the ambient noise it isnt so bad.
