I work on an Air Force base since my hubbers is active duty so there is less crazy here but some can be quite rude, especially some of the spouces.

There's a lot of people who mix fairys quite successfully, myself included.

Some say proper aclimation is key (ie - an aclimation box), so the others can adjust to the new arrival. I've never done this however. I believe as long as you have enough space for each to have their own "territory", it's not a problem.

I've kept a variety together, changing slightly over time - often 6 or 7 different species in the same tank.

    Currently:
    2 Flames
    Lineatus
    Scott's
    Canary
    Melanarus

    All in a 125 deep.

However, there's always the individual fish variable. I know of a pink margin supermale that would kill anything in the tank it could. There's also stories like KC's, where things turn bad or just don't work out. Ultimately, the chances are quite good and way in your favor, but you'll never know till you try. ;)

Oh its not that, Im just slightly worried about the Red Velvet. After reading its more of the territorial fairies, Ive read that the Scotts is pretty nasty to occasionally on some forums. Just have to play it by ear.

The Red Velvet hasnt had a huge amount of time to fully settle into the tank. So that should give the Flame a good chance.

I tried finding the flame with a flashlight a bit ago. Couldnt find it anywhere. Checked in on the redvelvet since I know his sleeping spot. Found his tail worked to the other side of the burrow and the face didnt match my red velvet's tail that was on the other end, but the flame wrasses face..

You'll just have to see how it goes. My Scott's used to be the most aggressive out of the bunch, but since the lineatus was added, he's become the most timid. The lineatus is now the most aggressive.

As long as one is willing to let the other be higher in the hierarchy, all will be fine.

Also, the sleeping spots in my tank seem to be on rotation. There's usually a wrasse in each one, but not always the same one...

Dumb question since you seem to know a lot about wrasses.

What makes a Male Different from a Super Male? ... And Ive read that super males cant be sustained with out females.. and vice versa and such... any enlightenment?
