azdesrtrat is correct on everything. Do not skip the automatic shut of valve that triggers when your storage tank is full. The more expensive ro's will come with one normally, but if it doesn't make sure you add one. That is the simplest thing to add that will dramatically increase the life of your membrane. Membranes are the most important part of the ro, they make the ro water, everything else either protects the membrane or polishes the water. As far as the case goes most are made the same. Look for something that has the ability to use any filter you would like. +1 on the pressure valve. RO ratings as far as total dissolved solids (TDS) use pressure in their formula. It's been a while since I used them but its pretty close to 1psi plus osmotic prssure (arround 25psi I believe) will lower water 100 tds. This means if you have tds in the 1400's like me you will need 39 psi to theoretically make 0 tds water. It doesnt always follow the rules but that will help in water quality. Hope this helps supplement azdesertrat's post.

ok, after doing loads looking I have found one or a couple I think has everything that it's supposed to have and is still under $200, well under by one dollar.

here it is. Take a look and tell me what you think. Thanks.

    RO/DI Systems

I'm looking at all of them up to the $199 dollar one. Please let me know what you think is the best buy. Thanks.

You can do better. Their $199 units still is not equal to the CSP-DI found here.

Unfortunately the sale price just went up to $199 from $145, had you jumped on it a day ago.

Note things like a 0.5 micron absolute rate prefilter, 0.5 micron 20,000 gallon carbon block, specially treated and tested 90 GPD RO membrane and specially blended reef specific DI resin. Along with that a capillary tube flow restrictor you trim for your exact conditions, an inline pressure gauge and a dual inline TDS meter.

The one you linked to has the pressure gauge and TDS meter but none of the rest.

LOL, where were you when I bought mine with out a shut off valve!

I can tell you from experience that using one without a shut off valve is an accident, a very wet accident at that, waiting to happen. I cannot tell you how many times mine overflowed, I had an overflow bucket and only spilled water on the floor a time or two but I whole heartedly agree, get a shut off no matter what it costs.

EDIT: And you cannot go wrong with a Sprectrapure unit, I have the MAX CAP 90GPD unit, A little more costly but well worth the money to me.
