Very nice build. You can really tell a ton of thought went into your setup and I am sure your new livestock will love their new home.

Just 1 quick question how high off the water are you lights?

All gravity fed. I wanted a refugium tank alone. I didnt want to baffle out a section out of a sump. plus my sum is only a 20g long and fits perfect in my stand.

I had the refugium custom made out of acrylic.

Plumbing is tee'd off from the intake of overflow and controlled by a gate valve. Fills the refugium and the in drained by the 1.5" bulkhead. Drains perfectly into my sump. holes drilled out through stand and cabinet. Theres also a 3/4" emergency drain if flow every increases that the 1.5" bulkhead cant handle. But 1.5" main drain is plenty.

Really is the same concept as teeing off intake line from overflow and going into two sections of a sump.

Go slow, let it grow. Looking good so far. Love the rock off the sand.

Thanks All for the kind remarks...

I did mention my tank is controlled by Neptunes APEX. I didnt mention that it is linked up to my pc in the room behind the wall. That is great for me to change anyprgramming to the outlets for equipment. Such as lighting times, dosing, water movement, safeties, and general operation of all the equipment.

This is huge to me. As soon as I had this setup I could not see myself having a tank without the APEX... or any controller with this capability.

That APEX sounds very interesting. How does it work on your PC? I assume it comes with software?

Amen to that. I couldn't see being without one now either. It's fantastic to be able to just have to check alk and calcium once a week and add a minute, or take one away from the dosing pumps. It really keeps parameters dead on--and with less work.
