    I have an old aragonite reacotor as last stage on my r/o di . It is supposed to put trace elements into water. Are they necesary?

    trace elements of certain types are necessary...but I'm not sure what your meaning in regards to the RODI system..I'll bump ya up..maybe the AZ-D-rat will see this...He's knowing this stuff the best, imo. : )

    it just a tower full of aragonite that the rodi water goes threw , last stage of my setup. Filter>carbonblock>ro>di>aragonite tower.

    I just don't see how beneficial it would be. I guess it would really depend on the PH of the water coming out of the RO/DI. If it does not have a ph of under 7.0, I doubt it would be very effective if at all. Judging that all the RO/DI companies are not rushing to produce these in this copycat industry is probably saying something as well.

    The pH of the RO/DI is probably not low enough nor do you have sufficient contact time to be of any benefit.
    Ro/DI is basically neutral and not acidic enough to dissolve aragonite media. Besides that, a calcium reactor depends on recirculation or multiple passes through the media to dissolve the aragonite into solution, not a once through like making RO/DI.
