R.O system before or after softner?

    I just got a softner system and was wondering if I should hook it up before or after my water softner system. I think I've heard before that the salt in these system leaches phosphates. And I'm not sure if a reef would benefit or not from salt water.

    Definately after the softener. The softening will help keep your RO prefilters in better condition and the DI cartridge will remove the Phosphates from the softener.
