not sure on your system! is it a refillable cartrdge or a DI resin cartrdge itself? Shoot a pic of it! guessing its not! but the refillable cartrdge is only $8 plus $11 for resin!

OK the RODI experts on here are gonna kill it because the DI chamber is horizontal! but it look slike the resin is still good! Is it 2 distinct colors? sorry bad eyes! get a TDS meter ($20) to make sure its working alright!

Not al DI resin is color changing. A TDS meter is the only accurate way to tell resin condition.
A standard RO or RO/DI has a 4:1 waste ratio. There is only one proven low waste 1:1 system on the market today that actually works well and lasts but it is not cheap due to ist unique components like a microprocessor, booster pump and solenoid valves. There are others who claim low waste but the flush the syetm with tap water, not stored DI water and will fail prematurely guaranteed. Manufacturers and vendors have been studying this for years and it it not as easy as stacking two membranes together or reducing the waste ratio. It all comes down the the fact tham membranes must be flushed, there is no getting around it.
