R/O water from front of publix/walmart?

    $25 for the TDS meter and it also has a digital thermometer built in too.

    Vending machines are hit and miss at best since they do not fall under any health regulations or inspections. If you are looking for RO only which should be sufficient to start a system with find a staffed Water & Ice type store. Tell the person what you are using it for and they usually bend over backwards to show you how well their equipment works.
    Then again look at the $120 RO/DI at the top of that sales flyer, buying 80+ gallons of water has you half way there already.

    Friend of mine used the water from one of those for a while and was constantly battling algae. I tested water he made with a phosphate test kit and was off the charts. I know some carbon used to filter can contain phosphates and leach it into the water pr they just never maintained the unit. I would do as desert rat stated and just look into buying one for yourself. Will save headaches down the road.
