So i ordered a 120 (4x2x2) last week.;D This originally was going to be a ground up build of a stony tank. However due to a flooring issue with current tank it's turned into a build/transfer. My current tank has been running for 10 years or so and has had many ups and downs.

I don't really feel all that experienced at this, but will be trying to address all the issues i have with this tank. Please feel free to comment and suggestions welcome.
So this is where the journey begins.

I'll try to bring this up to date to where i am now.
First step- empty closet boy i have a lot of junk
    second step= open wall
    [IMG]
This is what i find. Those pressed together 2x3s spaced 4ft on center with 1x3 in between and 1x3 bottom plate. Side note a few years ago i put in base board and could not hit wood for nothing now i know why. Anyways i decided the wall probably wont hold tank. So i moved a few wires, installed plywood floor, and decided to build stand.

My current tank has a 30x20 dsb fuge that i want to reinstall on this tank. I plan to have it set on side of tank and drop back over top of sump.

Well i can see that i will never get it in there once tank installed. I would like to tear out entire closet, but my wife is not to excited about that.Well while I'm thinking about that the Fed Ex man shows up with goodies.
So i build a little mock up of tank and acquire a few supplies. I want to try and do foam and rock on overflow and peg and strap rock structure.
The rock is a 100 pounds of marco, 20 slab, and 15 pounds of rubble. A few of the rocks did not survive transport so i probably could have skipped the rubble.

So that's where i'm at today. This took a long time i type slow.

    That will be awsome.

I have a question about your stand, as I am thinking of building one. You have a 2X4 in each corner that doesn't go all the way to the top of the frame. Why did you leave it shorter in length? I would think it would serve no purpose built like that. I'm not saying you did it wrong I have seen a lot of other people build that identicle stand. I'm just curious as to why you and other have done this. Thanks.

That board is just a screw strip to attach the legs.
