Rain Soft Water System

on their website i cant really find the info im looking for...it seems they advertise it as a water purifier/softner? anyone have any experience using this system to supply them with water for their tank??

any opinions??

 

Water softners are not for fish tanks, what you need its an ro/di unit. They are different, a water softner does not remove things, just treats for hard water, usually with some kind of salt.

 

I was a Local Rep and installer for them for many yrs and its not what you want, Its more of a whole house taste and sediment and hardness system and it is not for the tank go to Buckeye Field supply and get a R/O D.I Russ will get you fixed up at a good price. This all that they sell that will help you but its pricy..

wow, that one in the link is sweet, i was j/w because my parents have a rainsoft system on their home...i was just going to use their water instead of getting a unit, lol...im more leaning towards airwaterice tho...i want to make sure i can get replacement parts with ease if ever needed...

 

On the inside every R/O D.I is the exact same thing all use 10" element cartridges .. Ones from anywhere will fit the other ..
