    Hello,

I've had my astrea snail for almost 2 months, I don't think it's old as it's pretty small - only about an inch wide.

For the past few days I noticed it had a few raised bumps on its underside (the side you always see when they're on the glass), not sure if it's an injury? If it is, what could've caused it?

But anyway, this morning, to my horror, I found it on the sand, UPSIDE DOWN. I thought it was dead! But I picked it up and put it on a piece of rock (horizontally), and after a while it moved a little. And when I prodded its shell with a stick, I could feel that its grip was really weak. It seems to have trouble gripping onto sloped rock surfaces too.

Any idea why this is happening? Is my snail dying? :(

It sounds like it is dying. A 1" astrea is pretty big. I have had a bunch die in this manner. They fall off the glass, and won't stick to anything anymore. Make sure to take it out before it starts to decay, or you will have a very nasty smell.
