    Hi
    I'm currently haveing to raise my alk every day, i'm using 1 and half teaspoons of soda powder every morning to raise my alk from 6 to 7-8, its stays here for just over a day, but then when i test it again its dropped to under 6 again.

    Is this normal haveing to buffer every day, my calcium stays at 400 my mag 1350.

    Been using the soda now every day for the last 2 weeks and it still no higher then 7.

    Any ideas?

    get up to 12 dKH at least. you don't have any SPS or clams, but your LPS will need it.

    For some reason I need to dose a lot more alkalinity as well. As long as you're sure of your test kits just keep doing what you're doing IMO. I think your system sounds fine.
