    Let the kalk settle over night.

    A pH of 7.8 in a tank not dominated by sps is fine, 8 would be better, but your current value does not require a quick intervention.

    Personally I have used chemipure elite for years with no decrease in the pH value.

    My pH dips below 8 daily, and my tank is definitely loaded with SPS.
