today i found my first definitive form of bryopsis(plumosa) i belive. for a while wasnt sure what exactly type of algae i had but it def showed its face today. and now that i now its bryopsis i know my cleaning crew cant do jack for me, or my cheato.

so i guess ill try raising my mag. anyone know what i should raise too? what will this effect? and what i should use to raise it? will this effect my corals?

please help its getting worse by the day.

oh if i get so fed up i decide to tare the tank. is there any way i can positivly remove all the bryopsis spores from the corals aka frogspawn skeleton, like a dip or something. so i can sell them and not have the lfs/people worry of it spreading too their tanks.

hi, i am by far no expert and have not tried either of these but ,ive read to raise mag levels to 1500 - 1600 using epsom salts (grocery store , what grandma used to soak her feets in) lol.. supposedly you can also combat by raising the ph to around 8.5 ... hope that helps...

If you take a look at the bottom of this page under the "Similar Threads" section, you'll see a few threads where bryopsis eradication methods are discussed. Hopefully, that'll help you out :)
