Raising Skimmer Level In Sump ??

Hi I am setting up a larger sump and I am going to want to raise the level of my Aqua C EV skimmer to keep the gate valve a little higher and allow for more water volume. my question is what are some good options to sit the skimmer on? I want some thing sturdy and level . Do I want to use glass blocks? What is the most inert material I could use? Which plastics are safe? How about a piece of tupperware? 8)

 

tupperware glass and wood are safe, if it is going to get wet though o wouldnt reccomend wood because it will swell and warp and rot

 

We used a small grate that we picked up from the Home Depot, it lifted the skimmer about 2 inches in the sump....
