I am considering getting a Randall's pistol shrimp to try to pair it with a Hi Fin Red Banded Goby, but I have been reading that the shrimp may eventually try to eat other fish, shrimp, and snails. What have people's experiences with this shrimp been?

not much experience with this but i assume that as long as you are feeding it, the shrimp shouldnt not have to kill your fish for sustanance. also depends on the size. most of these guys aren't big enough to take down most average size reef fish. and if he does there is a good chance that fish was very weak and about to die anyway

yeah you just have to feed it regularly
if it does burrow with your goby, it should be fairly busy

My pistol is an extremely busy housewife, cleaning and rebuilding the burrow every evening for its yellow goby. No time to play; barely enough time to eat.
