Random fish death! Need help please!

So today i come home and find my purple tang dead laying on top of all my kenya coral. Yesterday, he was acting a little strange and wouldn't come out of his hiding cave but i just thought he was sleepy since i left the light on for an hour longer. He was eating great and none of my fish were bothering him. I have had him for about 1 1/2 years. For a while he was really skinny and wouldnt eat and about three week ago he started to come back and eat a lot more. I thought i got him out of this but im pretty sure he didnt starve to death. He didnt get stung by anything. I will mention though i but the garlic extreme on all of his seaweed meals in the last 3 weeks. I dont know if that could be the problem or what. All i need is an answer please! Water quality is perfectly fine too!

Can you post all of your parameters? everyone's definition of fine is different, not saying they arent good, but just to rule it out

It's pretty hard to say why exactly... sometimes fish just die.

have you added any other fish recently? Anything pestering him? Did he look any different......ie did he have a white tint to him?
Again post your parems and tank size, filtration etc. He might have just died for no reason, old age? Sorry for your loss though
