random question

    i have a peice of wood inside of my sump to elevate my protein skimmer. it was just some random peice of wood plank in my basement...i was just wondering if it is safe for a peice of wood to be inside my sump? any other info will be great!

    was the wood pressure treated? (dark in a green dark brown color) also did/was it stored near any chemicals because wood is very pourus and will store everything it touches. just not somthing I would risk but if I did get the wood from a chemical free enviroment and I knew it was safe then yes :)

    well it wasnt near any chemicals, but it seems like to be those made buy recycled wood, because it has all those visable splinters in it.

    ir it is partical board take it out because the glue that hold it togther is toxic

    Even if it is safe, its wood, and wood rots/molds. I would suggest you find another method to raise the skimmer. Just my 2 cents though.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    You can go to Walmart and buy a small drawer organizer container for like 2 dollors and use that.
