hey guys, i've been looking at my drs. F&S catalog and i've seen this new wet/dry filter/skimmer/auto fill system, and i'm wondering if anybody on here's tried, tested, or just has any opinions on it?

in my amatueristic knowledge, it looks like a fairly good piece of equipment... but then i think about when people start combining things, i think of skilter...

well, i just saw where matt rogers did a little post on it... not much info though... but yeah... here's something that may be helpful... ProSeries4

another thing i just realized is that i've seen these around before, but looking at the doctors' catalog, their pictures show up really blue and stuff, whereas the other pics seem more like a subdued, tinted blackish blue or whatever... maybe its just part of an upgrade or something... tomaquarium says 700gph, F&S say 1000gph

another thing that turns me off is the fact that it uses an airstone for the protein skimmer... i don't know the details of which style of skimmer is best or whatever, but i've heard that using whichever one uses an airstone is not effecient at all... or maybe its just that they don't like having to replace the stones when they clog or whatever... i've just heard that airstones in a saltwater aquarium are always "iffy"...
