Rapids uv's and blues came in! Crap, I'm tired!

    Got 12 uv's to add to my 24 rb and 24 cw rapid system! Also got 12 blues to add, gonna add 4 to the end terminals and swap the other 8 out with some RBs!

    oh yeah also ebay optics! since rapid doesn't have them for uvs yet!

    read exatclyob's led build threads! I think there is plenty of proof out there that says they are above and beyond beneficial for both color and growth! But those 2 guys have visual proof for ya, as well as a much better thread than i will do! ;)

    Hey congrats.you will def love the blues and uv..btw thanks for the info on the uv optics. I didn't know they even had them..what deg did you go with for the uv..

    i got 90 degree so i can spred the light out! I'm adding 6 uvs to each heat sink that will now have 30 other less on it! OVERKILL!

    I wouldnt put the optics on the UV's personally. I use the Uv with no optics and it gives beautiful color. the Violet is close to a harsh end of the spectrum so focusing it might burn or have too strong effects on your pieces.

    It peaks at 420nm... It's not even into the UV range. There is no reason to be any more worried than you are about a Royal blue.

    Agreed. I also think keeping the WV above 400 is a good idea.
