rare fish in your lfs

white tip reef sharks, lookdowns, some type of black puffer<<?

 

I'm pretty sure that steve wright has us all beat.

 

yep!! i just saw the shovelnose shark

 

well when the fish store was around there was a shallow, but huge tank in the middle with bamboo sharks, cat sharks, and they had sting rays for sale in the tank also. there was a barracuda for awhile in one of the tanks but someone must have bought it.

 

I have a 10" golden puffer! I also have in his tank what I think is one of the prettiest red-orange scorpion I have seen! My LFS knew I had been wanting to set up a puffer tank so he kept bringing in all these large puffers. My favorite was an all black dogface puffer. He kept ordering them in and they did not fair well and died.

My LFS would get a lot of rare angels, triggers, and hybrid tangs. They had baracuda's there too...they are VERY aggressive and eat just about what ever else is in the tank. He has a bunch of sharks and scorpions. (they are tempting me to set up another tank!) ;D He doesnt know this but when I finish my basement (YEAH RIGHT this is going to happen in my lifetime) my dream is to get 2 large tanks and build it into the walls down there....one for a shark, my puffer and my scorpion and a reef tank! I have the plans...just no moolah!

..............beat a 5 foot white tip reef shark??? there is 2 ???? a shovel nose is kinda hard hahahaha... same place had a 9inch gold puffer.

 

There was this little place in the middle of nowhere that had hammerheads, barracudas, white tips, leopard sharks, blue rings and could order just about any thing you wanted. My uncle was friends w/ the owner so he let me feed them (i was like 7).

 

my lfs has a like i think 4 or 6 foot long reef shark in 15,000 gallon tank, with other gigantic fishes in there =d.

but they are not for sale =(

 

i've seen a wrought iron butterfly before at phishy business. it was there for along time before being sold. I've also seen black tangs, lineatus wrasses (not really rare, but expensive), achilles tangs, etc etc
