without knowing the size and details of your tank a pint or tow does not seem to be all that much. i am in the same boat as the others and add about 5 gallons every two days. sometimes i miss the days where 5 gallons would last me a couple weeks.

I go through about 12 to 15 gallons of top off water a week in my system.

I'm currently pushing about 2 gallons a day - but we just shut the AC off and opened all the windows in the last 3 days so it's changing a bit now

My tank is in the basement, so I have to add about 3g every two days

I add 2-3 gals a day, but even when we have snow on the ground our humidity can be less than 10%. During thunderstorms it can go up to 90%. I don't know about other parts of the country but during the summer we have a weather phenomenon called Verga, you can see rain falling from the clouds, but it evaporates before it hits the ground.

Oh by the way I live near Lake Tahoe NV. They say the lake evaporates enough water each day to provide the Los Angeles basin with water.
