raw Shrimp question

    so got the salt and the lr pumps are going (no skimmer tho)
    Q: how long does the piece of raw shrimp stay in the tank for?

    I would leave it in there over the course of the nitrogen cycle.
    Do you plan on purchasing a skimmer?
    Are you using live sand and live rock?

    so really it's up to me. however long i can stand to look at a decaying shrimp... but for sure before i get anything in there that would eat it???

    I have a skimmer and fuge. i posted pics, but noone looked at them :cry:
    i have lr in there now and no, not live sand, but after getting the lr in the tank and some in the fuge, we have definately got some growth, the bottom of the tank is lookin pretty colorful ;D

    I left mines in for about 3 days till I couldnt take the smell anymore.

    What size is your tank..?
    I left my shrimp in for 4 weeks, To make sure they done the job..
    And something is eating it.. !!!

    we took it out, got 6 damsel fish and i guess it mini cycled? tested everything and it is all at zero
