rb cree vs cw cree

    can someone tell me who nows leds wich on gives better par n pur rb or cw:confused:

    You need a mixture of the two. Par is not going to be an issue with CREE leds, instead you need spectrum. I would go with a mix of 2/1 of rb to CW. Toss in a couple blue and UV and you have a great build!

    +1, but I'd do about 2:1 rb/blue/cyan to cw/nw with a few uv's and you're set. And do about a 2:1 ratio with the blues and whites too. 2 rb per 1 blue etc.

    I built my own array with cree 3W and used 2:1 RB to CW ratio. I've read elsewhere though that the UV ones were pointless. I would love to see some counter evidence though as I have a few lying around when I did my order.

    With my light array I did (10 royal blue, 5 blue, 6 cw ,5 nw, 3 Violet, 3 Cyan)

    LOL! DAMN! love it biocube!

    Also, there are plenty of threads on here and elsewhere showing immediate improvement with the addition of uv's/violets as well as better coloration. Just be careful with true uv's verse violets, and read up on both.
