Got my 4-5" RBTA 2 weeks ago. Tank set up for a year now. Hid for the 1st 2 days which I thought was normal. Finally came out behind some rocks and filled up his bubbles beautifully. Fed him a half a silver side which he gobbled up. Now his routine is he comes out usually every day, but after about 6 hours after lights out he travels behind same rock again. When the lights come on, he comes back out after a few hours but repeats his routine 6 hours after lights out. Just today though, he came out again only to go back behind the rocks after only 4 hours of lights on. Flow is good where he is at and the lighting is adequate in my Red Sea Max 65 gallon. His color thus far is deep red and seems to be eating well. Most I read one they get acclimated they stay put? But this hide and seek every day makes me a bit concerned. Anyone else experience this?

Water parameters are in check. Thanks.

P.S. Also 2 small Perc Clowns in the tank but have NOT paid him any attention at all, so no one is disturbing him.

Anemones do there own thing, you never know what it will be.

Don't try and force it to do anything. It sounds like it is happy where it is at.

Agreed, never want to disturb him, but I never heard too many stories of hide and seek like this and wondering if this could be a start of some issues with him.

Hard to say on starting of an issue with it. I do know that getting into a place where they can shrink into is an evolutionary security tactic.

I read somewhere someone had a similar problem. Anemone kept moving as lights went out and then went back with lights on. The person said he kept the lights on for a night and then it remained in the same spot.

Donno if you want to do that though. Especially if you have other stuff in your tank. One would guess that eventually it will stay in the same spot.
