I recently got a RBTA and after about a week it seems to have found a spot in a cave under a rock. I am unable to view it unless I almost stick my head in the tank. Seems like such a waste cause I want to see it, you know? Can I move it or should I just wait a week or so to see what it does?

Don't taunt it or it might just come out and kill all of your coral out of spite or while trying to find a new home.

Def don't touch it or poke at it, it will go where it wants when it wants. It can be frustrating when they foot themselves in the back of the tank but they may eventually move again though.

If you have powerheads or intakes, it's best to screen those off as it can get stuck in those when it moves.

How long has your tank been running? What type of lighting do you have?

The tank has been running in its new location for over 3 month but previous to that about 2 years. I am running T5 lighting.

Got it, was it started new in its new location or just transferred?

My 3 BTA's footed themselves high up on my rockwork, they like the light & I target fed them when they footed in a place I liked them. They move around the rock a tad, but stay based in that area. I have 2 RBTA's & 1 GBTA, here's a pic of them.

Nice, they look great! I've had him about 2 weeks. The first week he stayed where I put him and this last week is when he's moved under the rock.
